Artist Retreat in the Adirondacks

This retreat at the Hewitt Lake Club, organized by EchoLab, was transformative. Not only the idea of creating art and art alone in a remote and absolutely stunning environment, but also the richness of being surrounded by artists working in multiple media/ disciplines/ contexts and witnessing their praxis up close. Thank you Stephanie, Rose and Andrea for creating this beautiful space and inviting me to be a part of it. I created two artworks after listening to water stories about the Raquette River and being inspired by indigenous connections to land and water.
